How I Work
I lecture and teach counselling and psychotherapy to trainee counsellors as a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) Tutor for Place2Be, a role supported and underpinned by the University of East London. In this capacity, I guide and inspire aspiring counsellors as they develop the skills and confidence needed for effective therapeutic work, while also nurturing their personal growth.

I work closely with counsellors-in-training, supporting them to develop self-awareness and self-reflection as key foundations for effective practice. Together, we explore their thoughts, emotions, and biases to deepen understanding, helping them connect more authentically with their clients. I tailor my approach to fit each person’s unique training journey, blending techniques that complement their learning and personal therapy, so they feel confident and supported every step of the way.

"Samia offers a warm and calming presence. She provided much-needed support during a difficult time, with genuine care and without judgment. She has a natural ability to draw out the most poignant aspects of what I was expressing and to compassionately challenge my way of thinking, enabling new perspectives and deeper understanding. I’ve learned a great deal through our sessions and now feel better equipped to face future challenges." - A.L.C, Trainee Counsellor-Therapist, Adult Counselling
