ABOUT
Samia Quddus, (PGDip Counselling and Psychotherapy, MBACP, Accred). I am a fully qualified and accredited integrative counsellor-therapist providing therapy to children, young people and adults in my private practice based in North London. As an MBACP Registered Member, I adhere to their ethical framework. I am fully insured and hold an Enhanced DBS check.
I worked in primary education as a teacher for over 15 years, both in the UK and five years in the Middle East, specialising in the SEN area of social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties (SEBD). Becoming a therapist felt like a natural next step (it was my headteacher, during my very first year of teaching, who suggested that I might be well-suited to this kind of work). I went on to complete a BACP-accredited Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy with the University of East London and Place2Be.
I’m the creator of Taqdeer Life, a psycho-spiritual Islamic gratitude journal, and the author of a children’s picture book, Freya’s Funny Feeling. I’ve also had the privilege of being a published writer for the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Children, Young People, and Families magazine. As an MBACP Registered Member, I adhere to their ethical framework.
Born and bred in North London, I enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life, appreciating the richness that difference and diversity bring to our shared experiences. I find joy in the small pleasures of life, whether it's wandering through the city's green spaces, visiting exhibitions or simply enjoying food.
