EXPERIENCE
Private Practice: In my private practice, I provide tailored high-quality counselling to clients of various ages (children, adolescents, sixth form students and adults), experiencing a wide range of emotional problems, whilst observing confidentiality.
Parent/ Carer Support and Coaching: With over 15 years of experience as a primary school teacher, I offer compassionate parent and carer support and coaching, helping them navigate the emotional needs of their children. I guide parents in developing a deeper understanding of their child's perspective, listening with empathy, and responding in ways that foster emotional growth. My natural ability to connect with parents allows me to support families in addressing a wide range of needs, from neurodiversity to behavioural challenges. Through tailored strategies, I empower parents to build stronger, more positive relationships with their children and create environments that nurture their emotional well-being.

Primary & Secondary School Clinician: I have substantial clinical counselling experience working with children and adolescents. Currently, I manage and oversee clinical counselling provision at a state secondary school in Waltham Forest supporting pupils with emotional challenges, on occasions in partnership with NHS professionals, Social Services and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). Weekly sessions explore issues ranging from anxiety, self-harm, exam pressures, peer issues and parent-child dynamics. In primary school, I work with children across Key Stage 1 and 2 employing creative and play therapeutic practices.

Sixth Form: I work with young people transitioning from secondary school to sixth form, and with sixth form students transitioning to University. We work on various issues ranging from anxiety, stress and peer relationships.

Trainee Counsellors: I work with counsellors-in-training, focusing on self-awareness as a foundational skill for effective practice. We explore thoughts, emotions, and biases, to develop a deeper understanding, which in turn enhances client connectivity. I tailor my approach to the specific training needs of each counsellor-in-training by integrating techniques that align with their training to enhance both their personal therapy and learning experience.

Non-Profit Women's Support Service, Nour Domestic Violence:
I have clinical experience working with South Asian women aged 20 and above supporting them with trauma, abuse, family and domestic violence-related issues.
Place2Be Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) Tutor: I teach, deliver lectures, and facilitate learning forums to support trainee child counsellors in clinical counselling psychology, child development and psychotherapy underwritten by the University of East London.
